Waiting. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Waiting with bated breath. Waiting for Godot. Just waiting. The financial markets are on tenterhooks as the new Administration works through how, when, on whom to implement Trump’s tariff policies. China is already facing 10% higher tariffs – though imports under $800 are still at zero, temporarily. Mexico and Canada face a reckoning on March 4th – maybe. Aluminum and steel – even from Canada and Mexico – face another 25% tariff on top of existing levies on March 12th. Reciprocal tariffs will start April 1st – April Fools?
