We hope that you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. We went to New York to celebrate Turkey Day on Thursday and my 70th birthday on Friday – and a lot of Christmas shopping over the weekend. The start of the following week was dominated by the Global Interdependence Center’s second annual College of Central Bankers event – which started with a Chatham House Rules meeting with 13 former central bankers from all over the world discussing monetary policy and the slide toward less interdependence, followed by a reception and dinner, and a public meeting on Wednesday in conjunction with Bloomberg. A wonderful time was had by all – and we strongly recommend you attend next year.
